Why don't you guys just tell the truth about this glass. The glass came from the firmament when it was hit by one or many nuclear blasts. Take a look at what you guys call the milky way galaxy, also known as the Great Rift. It looks like a huge crack in the sky to me. "Nothing is new under the sun." It's all been done before.

I did research on Ancient Egyptian trade, I believe trade was established all the way to South America. They also had knowledge of radiating materials, but they haven't found anything that they used said materials in any bomb/explosion. There is evidence of use of ancient nuke in India and hence the quotation of "Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." is a Hindu quote, after wiping out a city and leaving radiation to never settle in the area again. King Tut had an iron dagger made of meteorite, so they knew of meteorites.

There is no mystery if you truly understand how the world was created and designed and protected. Scientists throughout history and said our world is as within a world, scientifically they knew that there is an exterior ( firmament ). Our world is full of dead Titans how do you think we got our mountains, hills, valleys they've all been dug out the design of a fallen Titan crusted over mud fossiling these dead embodiments became our mountains there is no coincidence that you see faces in Rock or they were able to find gold which comes from living creatures only nowhere else is it designed it's a proven fact these people need to get in where they fit in. We know that organic minerals harden and become fossilized through the lack of hydrogen carbon and oxygen. It should be called the undiscovery channel all they do is report on things already discovered that's not discovery how hypocritical can you get.

Hey Nat Geo, it's very annoying to play music throughout the whole documentary! Some of us watch to learn- not for mere entertainment. I'm well aware that in our modern society, it's a highly rare phenomena for a person to simply want to be educated and enlightened, but we do exist and wish you'd ditch some of the unnecessary Hollywoodism and over-board auditory theatrics. The extraordinary, vast knowledge you've exhibited, for nearly a century, guarantees you've earned and secured your place in adoration, so please scale it back (just a tad) to your roots! LOVE you NG ❤, just sayin...

I think it's hilarious that this guy with the finding of Osmium is the eureka moment and defining factor for making it definitive proof of this desert glass being created by a meteor impact. The truth of the matter is that they're being paid to play 'make believe'. Osmium is used as a catalyst for many different manufacturing processes...who's to say that they aren't finding ancient industrial waste or something of that nature? There's certainly enough evidence to suggest that ancient technologies existed within previous civilizations, particularly in this region. I feel as though my theory is far more plausible than theirs and I came up with it for free! No grant money or expensive expeditions/equipment necessary...though, I definitely wouldn't turn any of that down.

Vor 23 Tage
Aaron Gagnier

The other thing they seem to be conveniently forgetting with their tests and simulations is that the desert wasn't always a desert; hence, it wouldn't have been sand and may not have even contained any sand at all with their '30 million years ago' timeline lol. Are these guys serious? Are they even true scientists? or just amateurs?? -_- Shame on NatGeo for promoting this bogus work.

no there is not just 1 thing that coulda caused that sand to melt look to the Theories of the Electric Universe this could have been cause by plasma storms between worlds in close proximity to one another exchanging massive amounts of electrical charge and stripping off material off of planets or depositing material on planets,,,, where's 6.5 km of the northern hemisphere of mars ? its gone, missing, not there its been striped off by electrical forces!!!!

Take your head out of the sand, look at Foerster's Chinchero ruins in the highlands of peru, along with the underground complex of a survivor colony, and ask yourself why "modern" science only a few hundred years old cannot match the mathematics [base 60] architecture and engineering of 15,000 year old masonry. Then take a look at American education for examples stuck for 75 years in 19th c. science/18th c. physics, and wonder why Europe/Asia have maglev trains [Japan broke own speed record at 603kph] while Amtrak derails at 60. Blind/ignorant/and fooled into thinking you have the same education as Russ students with science projects like weather satellites mapping energy fields in space, and Aus HS students who map plasma tubes around magnetosphere. I went to the Smithsonian once as a teenager and found a piece of broken jade on the floor in the Egyptian exhibit. I assumed it was part of someone's broken bracelet. A few years later I showed a family member, and he said it wasn't part of a bracelet circle, but more like an elliptical shape that could have been in an Egyptian symbol. So here I've had this rock for decades, perhaps _accidentally_ stolen from the Smithsonian. It's a curved cylindrical broken piece of... something. My grandfather was a geologist, so of course I Googled jade and ancient Egypt. I can't find proof that they used green jade or proof that they didn't. That's all I know of this weird little piece of jade in a box somewhere in my closet.

it wasn't a meteorite. in those places there were many large ships that were stationed in those places doing experiments and any of these ships being too close to the ground can cook the ground in this manner but it wasn't a meteorite. is funny how the scientific answer to everything right away, meteors. everything that is around you is not from this world and there's many fantastic ways to bringing all that from other worlds here and this is the method that has always been since the beginning of the first seeding on this planet, but it just seems natural for all eyes and that's because it's meant to be this way.

Ahh, the possibilities. Though extremely rare, it could have been a large meteorite "made of glass" that broke apart while entering the Earth,s atmosphere. I like the Lightning theory as well. The weather was most likely very different during the time the glass was formed. There is a place in South America called Lake Maracaibo in Venezuela that plays host to a spectacular event during the night that causes never ending cloud to ground lightning storms. These storms are caused by certain geological anomalies nearby that could very well have happened where and when this glass, in this video, was formed and any trace of the anomalous land features that could cause such storms has slowly disappeared. The scientist derived the melting temperature from zircon crystals within the glass. The sand "containing the zircon" that formed the glass could have come in contact with an extreme heat source during volcanic activity long before the glass was formed so the slow formation of glass at low temperatures theory could still work. Might of had something to do with the pyramids themselves. Evidence suggests that the pyramids were actually some sort of global energy device that used the ionosphere to transmit energy around the globe using hundreds if not thousands of similar pyramid energy devises. This place in the dessert, where the glass is found, could theoretically be an area that received huge amounts of this electrical energy over a long period of time and the sand slowly liquefied into a lake of glass. I love unsolved geology where Occam's Razor does not apply. Thanks Captain Black for the post.
